BMW Motorrad Unveils the Exhilarating R 1300 GS Trophy Competition and F 900 GS Trophy Marshal Bikes for the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2024 Namibia

In the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2024 Namibia, happening from September 15-20, 2024, a total of 22 national teams – comprising six women’s and 16 men’s teams – will vie for the prestigious trophy. These teams, consisting of 60 riders in total, will traverse Namibia relying on the new BMW R 1300 GS Trophy Competition Bike.

This R 1300 GS Trophy Competition Bike has been exclusively designed for this event, equipped with accessories to ensure top performance in the competition. The large GS, powered by a robust boxer engine, comes fitted with handlebar risers, an engine protection bar, a skid plate, a frame guard, adjustable gear shift and brake levers, GS Vario rider footrests, enduro hand levers, a headlight protection guard, and white handguard extensions. The bike’s aggressive off-road tires, mounted on black cross-spoke wheels, and a solo seat are specifically designed to handle the challenging terrain of the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2024 Namibia in East Africa.

While the BMW Motorrad Competition Bike isn’t available for purchase in its exact configuration, it closely mirrors the R 1300 GS Style GS Trophy model, equipped with the optional Enduro Package Pro, barring a few specifics such as the stickers. The Racing Blue metallic hue speaks volumes: adorned with red and white stripes and lettering, and complemented by a matte white metallic painted rear frame, the R 1300 GS Style GS Trophy stirs up a desire for adventurous off-road riding – a feeling that the 22 teams will experience firsthand on their R 1300 GS Trophy Competition Bikes in September.

Embodying the essence of high-octane off-road adventure, the Style GS Trophy models come standard with radiator guards for protection against damage. The sturdy black cross-spoke wheels are a key component of the Style GS Trophy equipment package, with an option to order them in a striking gold color.

The GS Trophy Marshals, tasked with safely guiding participants through the demanding terrain of Namibia, will have their own distinct and highly capable off-road motorcycles at their disposal. The F 900 GS Trophy Marshal Bike, based on the new F 900 GS, represents BMW Motorrad’s top-tier offering in the mid-size Adventure segment. Boasting 105 hp and a significantly expanded skill set due to its improved off-road capabilities and a substantial weight reduction of 22 lbs. compared to its predecessor, this sporty representative of the F Series in the GS family – akin to the R 1300 GS Trophy Competition Bike – is perfectly suited for the Namibian landscape.
