BREAKTHROUGH AFROBEATS SINGER QING MADI RELEASES HER DEBUT SELF-TITLED EP, OUT NOW

After rapidly emerging on the Afrobeats scene bubbling in Lagos, Nigeria, Qing Madi is releasing her self-titled EP via Columbia Records/BuVision. Listen to QING MADI HERE. Qing Madi’s debut EP which also includes the breakout single “Ole (feat. BNXN FKA Buju)” boasting over 30 million streams to date, displays the influences responsible for her futuristic Afro-Fusion style. This release also includes the official lyric visual for focus track, “Vision” directed by Boi Alien.

After completing her first US tour alongside friend and peer BNXN for the Sincerely Tour, the seventeen-year-old songstress was named one of VEVO Discover’s Artists To Watch in 2024. The seven song EP boasts her range and knowledge as a singer and songwriter, with four brand new songs including “Madi’s Medley,” “Vision,” “American Love,” and “Chargie”. The young artist’s distinctive sound is a blend of traditional Afrobeat combined with R&B influences to create her own self-described Afro-R&B sound. The result is the infectious and melodic musical niche that her fans have come to know and love.

QING MADI also includes previous releases “Why” and debut single “See Finish,” released earlier this year with over 12 million streams worldwide. 

At such an early age, Qing Madi is already proving herself to be the next artist to watch out of her hometown in the constantly burgeoning Afrobeat scene.
