BUSTA RHYMES IS BACK WITH EXPLOSIVE NEW SINGLE & CINEMTATIC MUSIC VIDEO “LUXURY LIFESTYLE” FEATURING COI LERAY OUT NOW!
12-time GRAMMY® Award nominee and one of the most influential rappers of all time, Busta Rhymes serves up a brand new single and music video entitled “Luxury Lifestyle” [feat. Coi Leray].
The song produced by Swizz Beatz and Busta Rhymes, unites two eras and vibes on one slick track, giving the Jay Z and Foxy Brown classic, “Ain’t No N****” a 2023 spin. The record is a straight up party banger and a masterful display of the marriage of Busta and Coi’s supreme skill sets. Busta gives guidance to his younger sis Coi Leray while he empowers the lauded MC to be her best self. A funky bassline sets the tone as the groovy beat simmers. Right out of the gate, Busta and Coi lock into a quotable call-and-response. Flaunting a punchy cadence, he warns, “If you don’t mention me as one of the greatest, your train of thought is no exception.” Their voices bounce back-and-forth on the hook, “Luxury life, we living over the top…No one can do it better.”
Directed by the legendary Benny Boom, the accompanying visual pays homage to Quentin Tarantino with a Pulp Fiction-style stick-up at a restaurant, culminating in a playful face-off finale which harkens to the iconic confrontation between Bruce Lee and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in Game of Death. From beginning to end, Busta and Coi shine on-screen as hip-hop’s new dynamic duo.
Busta Rhymes season is well underway. The recently released “BEACH BALL” [feat. BIA] had a chokehold on the summer and is still lighting things up with 8.7 million YouTube views on the music video and 1.9 million Spotify streams. A multitude of outlets including Stereogum, Rap Radar, Rap-Up and Vibe praised the Hitmaka produced collaboration as a party igniter anthem. Listen to “BEACH BALL”here and watch the music video here.
