BUZZY LEE RELEASES NEW ALBUM SHOULDER TO SHOULDER
Buzzy Lee, the musical moniker of Sasha Spielberg, releases her third studio album Shoulder to Shoulder via Future Classic. Largely recorded and produced at home, in the middle of a New York City loft that she shares with her husband, the artist, photographer, filmmaker and musician Harry McNally, it’s the first Buzzy Lee album since 2023’s acclaimed Internal Affairs. Accompanying the album’s release is the premiere of the official music video for its title track.
Shoulder To Shoulder is a love story of an album, bursting with Sasha’s innate gift for melody and her rich, emotionally resonant lyrics. Her distinctive voice – that’s seen her sought out as a vocalist by the likes of Denzel Curry and JPEGMAFIA – moves across octaves with ease and heightens the emotional impact of these elegant, beautifully crafted songs. While indisputably a very personal document of Sasha and Harry’s relationship, as an album it’s evocative, accessible and cinematic; a powerful new addition to the Buzzy Lee catalog.
Released alongside the album, the official music video for “Shoulder To Shoulder” brings its world to life. Directed by Charlotte Benbeniste and shot on film, it unfolds across richly detailed backdrops, with Sasha at its center, delivering an intimate, unguarded performance straight to the camera.
