DENZEL CURRY AND THE SCYTHE RELEASE DEBUT PROJECT STRICTLY 4 THE SCYTHE OUT NOW VIA LOMA VISTA RECORDINGS

Denzel Curry and The Scythe officially release their debut full-length project Strictly 4 The Scythe, out now via Loma Vista Recordings. The full project includes the previously released singles “Mutt That Bih” with Key Nyata featuring 1900Rugrat, “The Scythe” with TiaCorine and FERG and “Lit Effect,” featuring Bktherula and LAZER DIM 700. The project was produced in collaboration by members of the respective Ultraground and Working On Dying teams.

Today, The Scythe also appears on On The Radar for a live performance of “Mutt That Bih” and “The Scythe” alongside the project’s release. Later today, The Scythe will take over Apple Music Radio for a special in which the artists will answer fan questions and share stories from the making of the album, live from Apple’s Los Angeles studio. Curry and The Scythe have recently touched down across the pond as well, with Tia and Denzel making quite the noise on a visit to London with a raucous pop-up show and NTS Victory Lap performance around Denzel’s show supporting the legendary Deftones.

Comprised of Bktherula, TiaCorine, FERG and Key Nyata alongside Denzel Curry, The Scythe draws on the collective spirit of Denzel’s foundational days while continuing his futuristic takes on old-school regional rap (Memphis, Houston, Miami). Combining Denzel’s unique style with classically gritty Southern sounds and the creative force of each artist, Strictly 4 The Scythe centers hip-hop’s core across eras, paying homage to the South’s great musical legacy while ushering in a rising new guard. Speaking on the dynamic, Curry says, “The Scythe is a family comprised of some of my close friends and favorite solo artists. We still have our respective solo careers, but when we come together, it’s The Scythe.”

Strictly 4 The Scythe marks the first full project from the rapper since 2024’s album version of King Of The Mischievous South, the official mixtape and sound that helped launch his career, revisited in final form with a reconfigured tracklist and 5 new songs including “STILL IN THE PAINT,” featuring Bktherula and LAZER DIM 700, “HOT ONE” featuring Ferg and TiaCorine, “ULTRA SHXT” featuring Key Nyata and standout solo cut “GOT ME GEEKED.” Beyond launching a new rap super group in The Scythe, Denzel’s year is off to a momentous start, appearing as a special guest at Fred Again’s NYC shows, supporting Deftones on their current EU/UK tour, featuring on the recently-released Knocked Loose single “Hive Mind” and appearing on Maxo Kream’s newest track “Fake Jeezy” with JPEGMAFIA.
