Following his run opening for SahBabii on the Resurrection Tour, Atlanta teen phenom Che has just shared his new single “Green Day” — out now via 10K Projects along with an accompanying music video. A synth-driven, bass-heavy outing named for the legendary rock band, “Green Day” has been highly anticipated by fans after Che teased the song during a live performance last month.

The track arrives on the heels of “Love (MKB)” (4M+ Streams), which made Pitchfork’s Selects Playlist, was chosen as one of Hypebeast’s Best New Tracks, and even earned him a North West co-sign, as well as January’s “Pose For The Pic” (6M+ Streams), which was accompanied by an IG-exclusive music video. “Green Day” serves as the rapper’s third single since his debut album Sayso Says, released independently last August alongside a Lyrical Lemonade-directed video for “I Rot, I Rot.” (7M Streams). Lauded by Pitchfork (7.0 rating), Sayso Says capped off a strong year for Che, who garnered buzz with singles like “Pizza Time” (21M+ Streams), “Miley Cyrus” (18M+ Streams), and “Bae” (8M Streams), in addition to a co-sign from Trippie Redd.

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Che is a disciple of both veteran rap staples like Chief Keef and fresh-faced underground artists such as Izaya Tiji, turning heads for his digicore, rage, and pluggnb-indebted sound. He first began releasing music on TikTok in 2021, cultivating a devoted online fanbase with viral tracks like “agenda” (112M+ Streams) and “euphoria” (21M+ Streams) as well as his remix of Yeat‘s song “Off Tha Lot”. Now with “Green Day”Che is entering his next era as he prepares to release his sophomore album later this year.
