Corbin shares performance video for “Carbon Monoxide” + ‘Clown on Stage’ Tour Sells Out
Corbin, the reclusive and renowned Midwest singer-songwriter, continues his long-awaited return with a live performance video for “Carbon Monoxide” directed by Hendrik Schneider (Charli XCX, Drain Gang, Shygirl). It features Corbin centered in a concrete silo, flanked by producers Psymun and Elliot Kozel, drifting in a heartsick circle as he reflects on social isolation and despair.
Released earlier this month to critical acclaim, the single marks his first new music in over three years. PAPER declares “For an artist who emerged with such a distinctive, indelible style, it’s invigorating to hear a change in atmosphere and direction without sacrificing that initial fingerprint that’d made him an icon of underground pop.“
Corbin’s North American Headlining Tour Clown On Stage sold out immediately at on-sale, selling over 5000 tickets. The nine-date run kicks off April 29 in Washington, D.C.and includes stops in New York, LA, and a hometown show in St. Paul. Find more info and full routing below.
This announcement follows the official DSP re-release of his generation-defining 2014 single “Without You”, under his former moniker Spooky Black, an iconic record that has been cemented and constantly recirculated for over a decade –– molding the intersection of the internet and modern music forever and hailed an “instant classic” by Noisey. Corbin captured the fandom of the first generation of hyper-online teens with an R&B, alternative mosh posh -– highlighting the then-adolescent Minnesota singer’s knack for casual genre-hopping and pioneering ingenuity.
Corbin has collaborated with a wide range of artists throughout his career, including Future, Chief Keef, Skrillex, Trippie Redd, and Ski Mask the Slump God, and has also contributed to the success of tracks like Kid Laroi‘s “Not Fair” (220M+ Streams). After a period of reflection and isolation, one of the most beloved and elusive artists of the past decade is now making his highly-anticipated return and gearing up for a triumphant resurgence in 2025. Corbin‘s 2017 release, Mourn, marked his highly-anticipated debut album under the name Corbin and was released via California producer Shlohmo’s label Wedidit, with the track “Idle” later featured as a video interlude in Janet Jackson’s State of the World Tour. In 2021 Corbin released his follow-up to Mourn, Ghost with Skin, which sparked a bold new chapter in his artistic journey –– diving even deeper into frigid soundscapes, blending his signature haunting R&B with hard-nosed percussion and acoustic melodies. Corbin continues to push boundaries with his signature vocal tone and vulnerability, captivating listeners with each new release and solidifying his place as one of music’s most innovative voices.
