CORBIN SHARES LIVE PERFORMANCE VIDEO FOR “CRISIS KID”
Renowned SoundCloud pioneer turned singer-songwriter Corbin (FKA Spooky Black) has shared a live performance video for “Crisis Kid“, the title track from his recently released fourth studio album, Crisis Kid — out now via September Recordings. Directed by Hendrik Schneider (Charli XCX, Drain Gang, Shygirl), the video finds Corbin and his band in dark boiler room, drifting in a circle as his haunting vocals ring out with a solemn warning against oppressive forces at play beyond their walls: “Those narcissist’s gettin’ high on blood / More paper cuts, their favorite drug.“
Corbin reemerged from a 3-year hiatus with a reinvented guitar-led sound and a collection of devastatingly emotional songs that come together as a traditional concept album. The project offers a window into a period of addiction and isolation, inviting listeners to navigate his existential journey and personal struggles alongside him. “I naturally write about sadness,” he shares. “I know people can relate to sadness – that’s why my older music resonated. But with this record especially, I’m trying to make a pivot, for myself and for others, to make music that heals.”
Corbin will embark on his first tour since 2017 with his Clown On Stage North American Headline Tour, which sold out immediately at on-sale and will feature support from LUCY (Cooper B. Handy) and Psymun. The nine-date run kicks off April 29 in Washington, D.C. and includes stops in New York, Los Angeles, and a hometown show in St. Paul. Find more info and full routing below.
