DANNY OCEAN Begins His 2024 Plans For A Wealth Of New Music, With The Release Of Two Deeply Introspective Love Songs “AMOR” & “MEDIO FRIENDS”
As singer-songwriter and producer DANNY OCEAN has been praised since the very beginning of his global viral breakthrough as an artist with a real sensitivity to the intricacies of loving relationships, and their effect on both a partner and oneself, it is natural that his 2024 plans for an abundance of new music should start with a pair of two new introspective love songs arriving just in time for Valentine’s Day. These two new songs: “AMOR” – literally a reflective look in the mirror at the need for self-love and “MEDIO FRIENDS,” weighing long term friendship vs intimate attraction, will become available February 9th on all major DSPs as Danny Ocean’s advance Valentine’s Day gift for fans.
Danny Ocean further explains:
“AMOR is a song that has been with me for about four years, composed with the guys from 3 am. The production was in Miami, Mexico City, and London. It’s, as the title says, a LOVE song. I think the way I was narrating the song was simply asking for love in the mirror. Beyond asking someone for love, it was focusing on self-love. It’s a very similar song to “Volare”; it’s a cousin of “Volare”; it has a French, European feel to it, but the concept of the song is asking myself for self-love.”

” I wrote MEDIO FRIENDS with Lagos, produced by Lagos, Diego Raposo, and Jose Andres Benitez; we started it at a songwriting camp we did in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic, in July last year. It’s a story of two friends in a sexual moment. The theme is expressed at the end. That person tells the other; we know each other, but you know me, and I like you.”
In addition to the release of these two new songs, Danny Ocean also continued his career award recognition last week, by being named “Artist of the Year” at The TikTok Awards 2024’ in Mexico City. This adds to a tally that includes multiple Premios Lo Nuestro and Billboard Latin Music awards, as well as multiple Latin Grammy nominations.
