Dom Valentino returns with explosive new single ‘Magazine’

After setting the internet alight with his viral debut ‘Young Folks’, South London producer Dom Valentino is back with a heavyweight follow-up: ‘Magazine’, a genre-blurring collaboration featuring an all-star cast of Celeste, Jeshi, Fredwave, and Elijah Waters. Dom will be celebrating the release of the single with a free pop-up party at The Carpet Shop in Peckham on May 29th, with sets from Dom himself, plus Stanza Rel, Daisy Maybe, Just Lil, Fredwave (DJ) and Jeshi (DJ). Tickets are available HERE.
Written and recorded in a frenetic late-night Brixton session, ‘Magazine’ began life as a voice note from Celeste, whose unmistakable hook became the heart of the track. Dom then brought together Jeshi, Fredwave, and Elijah Waters, close friends and collaborators from previous projects, and the chemistry was instant. The result is a fast, propulsive cut driven by pounding drums and a growling bassline, with each artist pushing the energy higher.
“Everyone ripped up their verses,” says Dom. “It was one of those nights where everything just clicked. Elijah’s verse closed the session and it felt like the perfect ending — we knew we had something special.”
Dom Valentino has quietly become one of the UK’s most sought-after young producers, known for his raw, intuitive approach to sound. With credits on projects from Greentea Peng, Unknown T, p-rallel, Nia Smith, Ragz Originale, and Deema — not to mention a production placement on Skepta’s Mercury Prize-winning Konnichiwa — he’s carved out a reputation as a behind-the-scenes force shaping the sound of underground London. Now, Dom is stepping further into the spotlight. With ‘Young Folks’ (featuring Alfie Templeman & Anna of the North) racking up millions of views and a groundswell of online hype, ‘Magazine’ is the next evolution, a bold, collaborative anthem that showcases not only his skill as a producer but also his curatorial instinct as an artist.
Whether working with Mercury winners or underground voices, Dom’s ethos remains the same: honesty, instinct, and sonic risk-taking. As he puts it, “it’s insane to me that I get to work with so many people – they expand my vision and creative scope in different ways every time. It’s two way therapy. It’s learning something new about someone and yourself every time and it’s so addictive.”
