JAMAICAN TRAILBLAZER D’YANI REVEALS GRAMMYS GLOBAL SPIN LIVE CHOIR ACOUSTIC SESSION

After releasing his single “Journey” on 5th June, Jamaican poet and singer-songwriter D’Yani returns with a spectacular live acoustic choir session for the single, showcasing his immensely powerful and strong vocals for this beautiful live session.

Filmed at Tuff Gong Studios in Jamaica, this version of the single will be exclusively released on Grammy’s Global Spin.

D’Yani takes centre stage dressed in white with the choir set behind him alongside a band for this intimate live session, bringing emotion, tranquillity and D’Yani’s breathtaking vocals to fans. When asked about the single, D’Yani explained.

“Journey is a very personal song for me. It came from real life experiences ,the ups, the downs, the growth, the losses, the blessings ,everything that shapes you along the way. Recording it with Remus, who also produced Live a Little, a song that’s still receiving major love and attention worldwide felt natural because we already built a strong musical chemistry together. I wasn’t trying to force a story, I was simply speaking my truth. Sonically, we wanted it to feel uplifting and soulful, something people could reflect on but still feel good listening to.

After the love people showed to The Little Things, I hope Journey gives fans something deeper to hold onto. I want people to hear it and feel encouraged through whatever season of life they’re in. Everybody’s journey is different, but we all go through moments that test us and help us grow.

I’m really excited for the coming months, not just for people to hear more music, but for them to fully experience the world we’ve been building with Live Life & Prosper. There’s a lot more to come.”

D’Yani is slated to release his first full length studio album on August 21. The project is now available for pre-save on all streaming platforms.
