KAROL G’S CON CORA FOUNDATION AND LATINO JUSTICE LAUNCH “LATINA PWR FOR LEADERSHIP” TO ELEVATE LATINA LEADERSHIP

KAROL G’s Con Cora Foundation is launching its new LATINA PWR initiative through a first-ever partnership with LatinoJustice PRLDEF, aimed at empowering the next generation of Latina leaders in the United States.
LatinoJustice, established in 1972, has provided leadership development to more than 10,000 participants. Partnering with such a long-standing advocate for equity and justice marks a milestone for the Con Cora Foundation, which under KAROL G’s vision is dedicated to improving the lives of women and supporting the growth of their talents.
The LATINA PWR for Leadership program was created to celebrate the strength and influence of Latinas and to expand their opportunities in spaces of power and decision-making. The inaugural program will focus on boosting Latina representation in leadership roles and broadening access to education as a way to drive social change.
Running from September 2025 through July 2026 in New York, the program will support Latinas pursuing careers in fields such as law and community advocacy. Participants will be primarily first-generation college students who face systemic barriers to higher education but stand out for their drive and commitment to professional growth.
The need for this initiative is clear. According to the Pew Research Center, more than 22 million Latinas lived in the United States in 2022, representing 17 percent of the country’s adult women. Yet a 2023 report from the National Women’s Law Center found that more than 21 percent of Latinas were living in poverty. These realities underscore both the influence of this growing population and the structural challenges it continues to face.
“Latina PWR is about recognizing the limitless potential of Latinas to transform their lives and their communities. By partnering with LatinoJustice, we’re opening doors for women who not only aspire to professional careers but also want to change the systems that affect thousands of lives,” said Valentina Bueno of the Con Cora Foundation.

Over 11 months, participants will receive leadership training, mentorship, and access to resources designed to expand their professional networks. A key component will be Know Your Rights workshops that prepare participants to educate and advocate for immigrant communities across the United States. With the support of mentors, these women will not only advance their own careers but also create a ripple effect by sharing knowledge and opportunities within their communities.
At a time when Latino communities continue to face systemic barriers, LATINA PWR for Leadership represents a vital opportunity for young Latinas to build brighter futures and ensure their voices are heard.
