KEVIN AGUILAR PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE “DIVO DE LINARES” WITH THE EP “MI GRAN NOCHE – RAPHAEL EN LA VOZ DE KEVIN AGUILAR

Kevin Aguilar, regarded as the future (and present) of regional Mexican music, continues to honor the great interpreters of romantic ballads—this time with the EP “Mi Gran Noche – Raphael en la voz de Kevin Aguilar”, which brings together five of the melodies that made Raphael, the iconic Spanish singer-songwriter, immortal.
This tribute comes on the heels of Raphael being named 2025 Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy (Latin GRAMMYs). On this recognition, Kevin shares: “I love that this year’s honor went to an artist I’ve been listening to for a long time, so it was incredible to reinterpret some of his songs with my own style and voice.”
The EP—produced by Abelardo Rivera, José Luis Cornejo, and Jair Alcalá—features authentic classics of Spanish-language music, including “Digan Lo Que Digan,” “Como Yo Te Amo,” “En Carne Viva” (a duet with El Plan), “Estar Enamorado” and “Mi Gran Noche”, which also serves as the lead single for this release.

The new version of “Mi Gran Noche” reimagines the original’s vibrant disco dance energy with a sound rooted in Tejano music, giving this timeless hit a fresh dimension. The result is a track that has made generations dance, now infused with the power of traditional Mexican music to evoke a new kind of emotion.
Ultimately, “Mi Gran Noche – Raphael en la voz de Kevin Aguilar” reveals its true mission: to create a space where young audiences can rediscover the classics of Spanish-language music, building a bridge that proves great music never goes out of style.
“These songs are eternal,” adds Kevin. “I just wanted to sing them from my own world and vision, with the sounds that represent me today, and I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do.”
