Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman’s Boardroom and Visa presented “The Intersection of Music & Sports,” the inaugural Boardroom x Visa Talks event, at the Roxy Hotel in New York City. Attended by a range of athletes, cultural leaders, and business executives, “The Intersection of Music & Sports” featured a mainstage conversation between Lil Baby and Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin regarding the increasingly intersecting worlds of music, sports, and business.

The evening was kicked off by Visa CMO Frank Cooper, who highlighted game recognizing game and what it means to stand at the center of culture. During their conversation moderated by Boardroom Co-Founder Rich Kleiman, Lil Baby and Rubin spoke about their career journeys, learning from different people around them, how current trends in sports and music reflect the business world as a whole, the importance of confidence and authenticity, and fatherhood. The event’s many high-profile attendees included Fab 5 Freddy, Fabulous, Jadakiss, Joey Badass, Gayle King, KAWS, Rick Pitino, and Jane Rosenthal as well as an extensive list of professional athletes, such as Victor Cruz, Ashlyn Harris, Paul Rabil, Julius Randle, and Justise Winslow.

“Being authentic doesn’t have to mean staying the same. Even though I’m changing, I’m staying authentic because I’m changing for the better but never out of my character,” said Lil Baby.

“When you get people from different backgrounds together, you can learn so much from each other,” said Michael Rubin.

Following the discussion, DJ Clark Kent provided music as attendees enjoyed cocktails, food, and more conversation. The curated invite-only event is the first in a series from Boardroom and Visa.
