MAIA REFICCO RELEASES DEBUT EP DE VISITA
Maia Reficco released her debut EP de visita via Interscope Records. The EP was co-written entirely by Maia and produced by Juan Ariza, with additional production by Tom Crouch, Thom Bridges (KATSEYE, LE SSERAFIM), and M-Phazes (Demi Lovato, Madonna, Gwen Stefani). The new EP follows Maia’s breakout single, “Amapola,” from last month.
Of the release, Maia shares “This EP encapsulates my search for everything in nothingness and vice versa! It’s about searching for identity, finding playfulness in emptiness, and learning to sit with uncertainty instead of fighting it. For my debut EP, it felt important to split myself into six small universes, each one touching on a different piece of who I am and the sounds and stories I want to keep chasing.”
Alongside the drop, Maia premiered the music video for the EP’s focus track “sur”. Directed by Gordy De St. Jeor, the video follows the abstract narrative from the video for her last single, “Amapola.”
Playing and writing music has been a lifelong passion for Maia, who has been teasing her new music on her social platforms for years. Most recently, she made her broadway debut as Eurydice in Hadestown. The emerging singer and actress continues to make waves as she stars in the highly anticipated film, THE LAST SUNRISE, which was released last week via Amazon MGM Studio to rave reviews and has been trending on Amazon’s most watched list.
