Miraa May releases her fourth song of 2020, “Lemme Talk” featuring Louis Rei with the new video dropping next Friday.

This follows her recent Island single “Say Yeah” featuring Haile, and video with cameos from WSTRN and Harry Pinero. A glimpse of the making of the track is also available to watch on Miraa’s YouTube mini-series ‘Miraa & Friends’.

Best known for her critically acclaimed Dark EP and co-write on Jorja Smith’s Top 10 hit “Be Honest”, Miraa also released songs “Woman Like Me” and “Baby” this year whilst experiencing her new journey of motherhood.

The songwriter, performer, artist can now add actor to list, as she recently announced her debut acting role in upcoming film ‘Against All Odds’ from the creators of The Intent series, Femi Oyeniran and Nicky ‘Slimting’ Walker. The film plays homage to some of the most iconic names who laid the foundations of the grime scene, featuring platforms such as Lord of The Mics and Risky Roads as well as pirate radio station De Ja Vu FM. The film and soundtrack will be released on 13th November.

Miraa also featured in the ‘Voices of Jamaica’ documentary created by The Face magazine which followed 15 artists on a week-long writing retreat put together by UK producer Cadenza. The film features Jorja Smith, Miraa May, Amine, Proteje and legendary producers Dre Skull, Guilty Beatz, & P2J amongst others.

As well as releasing, Miraa continues filming for her mini-series of studio sessions on her YouTube channel titled ‘Miraa & Friends’ giving an insight into what goes down in the studio. The 7-part series which currently has 4 episodes available to watch, features artists and producers such as Jevon, Cosima, Sam Tompkins, Big Zuu, Samm Henshaw, Knucks, Moss Kena, & Luke Gomm.

A prolific and much in demand songwriter, Miraa has recently worked with Nafe Smalls on the mixtape track ‘Bad For Me’. On the live front 2019 was a great year for the Algerian born, Tottenham raised artist who sold out two headlining shows in London, performed at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds Festivals, The Ends Festival and BBC 1Xtra Live in Birmingham.
