The new Apple Original podcast “Operation:Tradebom” which dropped the first two episodes today, tracks the investigation into the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center and how this first attempt to bring down the towers changed our world forever. The podcast details the arrival of terrorism to American shores, through the voices of those who watched it happen firsthand – from Cairo in 1981 to downtown New York City on 9/11.

Episodes 1: The World Trade Center

February 26, 1993. Stockbroker Tim Lang parks his car beneath the Twin Towers, and a bomb explodes. Rookie emergency services officer Cory Cuneo carries Lang to safety. Bomb-maker Ramzi Yousef is disappointed the towers did not fall.

Episode 2: The First Shot

November 5, 1990, three years before the bombing. The radical founder of the Jewish Defense League, Rabbi Meir Kahane, is shot in midtown Manhattan, and we meet his assassin through the eyes of his eight-year-old son. Meanwhile, FBI agent John Anticev and New York City police detective Louis Napoli of the JTTF are assigned the case.
