NIGERIAN SINGER/ SONGWRITER ASAKE RELEASES DEBUT PROJECT ‘MR. MONEY WITH THE VIBE’

Today, Nigeran singer and songwriter Asake released his debut project, Mr. Money With The Vibe, through YBNL Nation and EMPIRE. LISTEN HERE. The project follows Asake’s performance at the 15th annual Headies Awards which took place this Sunday in Atlanta. The project includes the already released standout singles “Sungba” ft Burna Boy and “Peace Be Unto You”, as well as “Terminator” which has gained over 41 million global streams since its August 18 release.

Asake’s global hit “Sungba” was released in February as part of his debut 4 song EP, ‘Ololade Asake’. Later remixed by Grammy Award winning Burna Boy, the accompanying video for “Sungba” (24M views) was shot in Lagos and captures the natural energy between the 2 artists on their home turf. In June, Asake dropped another standout single with stunning visuals, “Peace Be Unto You”, which has accumulated 12M views in 2 months. His collaboration with famed DJ, SPINALL, “PALAZZO”, is undoubtedly one of the strongest contenders for song of the summer. Asake is also featured on the lead single “Bandana” from Fireboy DML’s recent album.

The singles have been making serious headway in the UK radio space; on the BBC 1Xtra Airplay Chart “Peace Be Unto You” is currently charting at #8 and is A-Listed. Tiffany Calver, Reprezent Radio, and Capital Xtra have also been showing support for “Peace Be Unto You”.
