RISING ARTIST JOURDEN RELEASES NEW EP A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN

Rising singer, songwriter, and rapper Jourden releases her new EP A Tree Grows In Brooklyn via RCA Records.

The project produced with Hit BoyCardo, andHeatmakerz  includes previously released “King Kong” and “The $triker” along with 5 additional new songs: “Sum Out Of Nothing,” “Hard” ft. Queen Najia, “Sippin’ & Dippin,” “Come & See” ft. Theron Thomas, and “Cross Colors.” With rhythmic lo-fi production, the project creates a playful sonic world that showcases her dynamic songwriting and perspective, blending personal narratives with themes of identity, community, love, and determination. Featuring warm jazz textures and deep, driving basslines, the EP solidifies a rich and distinct sonic identity for Jourden. Across the tracks, she reflects on turning adversity into strength, honoring her roots, and carving her own path with authenticity, humor, and unwavering confidence. The result is a project that feels distinctly her own, both in sound and perspective.

On the EP, Jourden shares: ”A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is a project about facilitating growth in environments designed for survival over success. The project examines how where we grow shapes our identity, self-discovery, and expression. These songs move through the tension of my growing in spite of my environment’s resistance. Building roots and planting firmly through pressure. Brooklyn, to me, represents the loud yet quiet experience of enduring while becoming.”

With millions of streams worldwide, Jourden is a rising powerhouse. Last year, Jourden released her debut EPStraight No Chase. The 7-track EP is an impressive nod to the ’90s, with lyrical flow and production that fuses classic hip-hop, neo-soul, and alt-R&B. Previously, the Grammy U award-winning songwriter has partnered with brands such as Reebok and Walker Wear during Women’s History Month. This collaboration, part ofReebok’s “Human Rights Now!” and United Against Racism initiatives, aims to empower women and celebrate unity, equality, and legacy. As Jourden continues to build on her growing body of work, stay tuned for more announcements in the months ahead.
