ROBB BANK$ SHARES NEW MIXTAPEI THINK I MIGHT BE HAPPY, PT. 1
The prolific Florida rapper Robb Bank$ has just shared his highly-anticipated new mixtape i think i might be happy, pt. 1, along with a new music video for “koffing”. Since breaking onto the scene over a decade ago with his debut mixtape Calendars, Robb Bank$ has emerged as a torchbearer of his city’s Hip-Hop scene – playing a key role in pioneering the booming SoundCloud Hip-Hop whose sound was elevated to the mainstream throughout its boom in the mid-2010s. Robb Bank$ also played a key role in breaking the careers of fellow Florida artists Ski Mask the Slump God and XXXTentacion, who he collaborated with on tracks like “Plottin” (25M+ Streams). Consistently rapping with a lethal combination of rapid-fire flows and candid storytelling, Robb Bank$ has proven himself to be one of Florida’s most abundant artists through a series of standout tracks like “It’s Lifted” featuring Trippie Redd (14M+ Streams) and “Can’t Feel My Face” featuring Wifisfuneral (26M+ Streams). Now releasing music from his mercurial stature in Florida and beyond, Robb Bank$‘s new mixtape, the highly-anticipated i think i might be happy, pt. 1 is out now.
After dropping I Dnt Txt Back, I Dnt Call, a Special Edition of his 2015 EP 2PhoneShawty and a collab tape with Tony Shhnow, I Can’t Feel My Face Too last year, Robb Bank$‘s new mixtape i think i might be happy, pt. 1 is a culmination of over a decade of fiery contributions to the Florida Hip-Hop scene at large. Backed by its lead singles “baby tunechi”and “kase”, i think i might be happy, pt. 1 was officially announced on the birthday of his cult-classic mixtape Calendars – revealing the cover of the new mixtape to be an homage to his breakout project that put him on the map. Named after a statement that Robb Bank$ has been subtly dropping within his music throughout the years, i think i might be happy, pt. 1 refers to his state of mind as he’s worked through the trials and tribulations of a decorated career in the modern-day Hip-Hop. Hosted by Evil Empire, a nostalgic entity that has been in the rap game for decades and promoted leaked Lil Wayne songs at the height of his career — i think i might be happy, pt. 1 illustrates Robb Bank$’s most liberated era as the label-head of 430 Entertainment and the director of his own future. Now embracing his spot as a veteran figure, Robb Bank$ new mixtape serves as a full-circle moment – with no features to steal the spotlight, i think i might be happy, pt. 1 finds Robb Bank$ continuing to rap with a chip on his shoulder, eager to showcase both his personal and artistic growth over the years.
