The Extended Shadowline Trim, typically exclusive to X5s with the M Sport and M Sport Professional packages, lends a darker tone to the window surrounds, roof rails, fender-mounted Air Breathers, and the standard illuminated kidney grille. Shadowline lights at the front and rear complete the subtle exterior trim. The eye-catching 20-inch M Star-spoke bi-color wheels are borrowed from the M Sport Package. The Silver Anniversary Edition replaces the Motorsport-inspired front and rear bumpers and rocker panels of the M Sport Package with aluminum-accented pieces from the Sport Design, emphasizing its off-road capabilities.

The black and aluminum theme is beautifully offset by the standard BMW Individual Lime Rock Grey metallic paint. A discreet Silver Anniversary Edition badge graces the tailgate.

Inside, the sport seats are available in Black, Cognac, Coffee, or Silverstone Sensafin, as per the customer’s preference. Carbon Fiber trim, usually only found on the X5 M60i and X5 M Competition, adorns the center console and dashboard. The BMW Curved Display, powered by BMW Operating System 8.5, is enhanced by Live Cockpit Professional, which includes the full-color BMW Head-Up Display and BMW Maps navigation with Augmented Reality display. This package, not available on any other current BMW X model, enhances the off-road capability of the X5 Silver Anniversary Edition by modifying the vehicle’s settings based on the terrain. The driver can select between xSnow, xSand, xGravel, and xRocks using the Driver Experience Control switch on the center console. The system then tailors the vehicle’s ride height, transmission shift strategy, throttle mapping, traction control, and other parameters to provide the best setup for the situation.

The package also features a 2-axle air suspension for improved ground clearance, a mechanical rear differential lock, and underbody protection plates. A unique xOffroad View in the central display provides the driver with information about ground clearance, roll tendency, and the inclination or downhill gradient of the terrain. The xOffroad camera aids the driver in difficult off-road situations by offering views of the terrain from all angles outside the vehicle at speeds below 22 mph.
