WALLOWS CELEBRATE 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THEIR BREAKTHROUGH DEBUT ALBUM NOTHING HAPPENS WITH A SPECIAL DIGITAL RELEASE OF RESEQUENCED 15-TRACK VERSION
NEW ALBUM, MODEL, AVAILABLE NOW VIA ATLANTIC RECORDS
March 22nd, 2024 marked the 5th anniversary of Wallows’ acclaimed debut album Nothing Happens. To celebrate, the band released a special 2x LP version exclusively on vinyl for Record Store Day. The band has released this version digitally to make it available for all to enjoy. This special edition of the album features a resequenced 15-song track list with added songs, including “Bad Remake,” a fan-favorite song from the Nothing Happens sessions that has never seen an official release until now. Produced by John Congleton, Nothing Happens proved to be one of 2019’s highest streamed debuts and has now been streamed 2 billion times worldwide. The album has since gone on to be certified Gold in the US, along with the global hit “Are You Bored Yet? (feat. Clairo)” reaching 3x Platinum status in the US, Platinum in Australia, and Gold in the UK, Canada, Austria, Poland & Portugal. Nothing Happens also includes the RIAA Gold singles “Scrawny” and “Remember When.” Listen to the Nothing Happens (5th Anniversary Edition) HERE.
Wallows recently released their third studio album, Model. Produced by GRAMMY® Award-winner John Congleton once again and mostly recorded at Hollywood, CA’s legendary Sunset Sound, the album was met by critical applause from the likes of Clash proclaiming Model “a no-skips record,” the album is “a stunning, natural evolution into their next chapter… guaranteed to reward on each and every listen” said DORK, and GRAMMY.com noted “Model helps lift their career into a new sphere of guitar-driven stardom.”
Model includes the singles “Your Apartment,” “You (Show Me Where My Days Went)” “A Warning,” and “Calling After Me,” the latter of which earned Wallows’ biggest release day streams thus far and recently made its debut on the MediaBase Top 40 chart. In addition, Wallows recently appeared on the famed Outdoor Stage at ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform “Calling After Me” and “You (Show Me Where My Days Went),” before an audience of exuberant fans.
