YAHRITZA Y SU ESENCIA JOINS FORCES WITH LUIS ALFONSO PARTIDA “EL YAKI” FOR HEARTFELT POWER COLLABORATION “NOS EQUIVOCAMOS”

Música Mexicana’s most raved about emerging superstars, Yahritza Y Su Esencia, continues to lead the new wave of Regional Mexican music with the release of their power collaboration “Nos Equivocamos” alongside Luis Alfonso Partida, better known as, El Yaki. The single and its official video are now available on all digital platforms. 

With “Nos Equivocamos,” Yahritza Y Su Esencia shines a light on their uncanny ability to transform raw, heartfelt emotions into an unstoppable power ballad, penning the experience of being heartbroken but admittingly loving have made that mistake. A blend of Yahritza and El Yaki’s unique, characteristic vocalization, both artists croon: “Tal vez nos equivocamos / Pero ese juego que jugamos, hay cuanto lo amo” (Maybe we made a mistake / But the game we played, oh how much I love it). Directed by David Cruz and Roberto Rivera, the official video takes a minimalist approach to spotlight the artists’ passion-fueled wordplay. Paired with warmer hues, Yahritza Y Su Esencia and El Yaki perform their verses against a striking overlook of Yakima, Washington. 

“Nos Equivocamos” follows an outstanding year for the two-time Latin GRAMMY® nominated sibling phenomenon – having released their anticipated EP, Obsessed Pt. 2. Journeying through love and desire, Yahritza Y Su Esencia presented the three never-before-heard tracks “Dos Extraños,” “Dubai,” and “Rositas.” For the songs, the sibling trio once again collaborated with 20-time Latin GRAMMY® Award-winning and GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Edgar Barrera [Ariana Grande, Madonna, Shakira, J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Maluma] to sprinkle the finishing touch on the emotion-packed project. The EP is also home to “No Se Puede Decir Adiós,” “Nuestra Canción,” and the global chart-topping smash hit “Frágil” featuring Grupo Frontera. The fan favorite earned YYSE’s first ever #1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart, spent 12 weeks on Spotify’s Global Top 50 list, and was also certified 3x Platinum in Mexico and Gold in the United States.

Obsessed Pt. 2 followed closely behind a career-defining milestone for Yahritza Y Su Esencia with the premiere of their celebrated Tiny Desk performance. Watch the NPR performance here. More recently, the Mexican-American stars made their editorial debut for the November issue of Vogue Magazine and their national TV debut on Good Morning America and GMA3. Adding to their bountiful success, YYSE successfully wrapped up the second leg of their “Obsessed Tour,” which made stops in major cities such as Chicago, New York, Atlanta, before wrapping up in Houston.
