Hey IMPRINT Readers. It’s Bernice writing to you about another dope music event! If you are unaware of who Big Boss Vette is, think again. You’ve heard her viral songs on Tik Tok many times without realizing it. Her song “Pretty Girl Walk” and “Snatched” garnered over 1.4 million followers on the platform as well as boasting just under a half a million followers on Instagram. She’s been in the studio diligently putting the work behind not just being a viral star, but to be a contender in the music industry. I had the pleasure to cover her debut EP Release party at Atlanta’s iconic Golden Glide Skating Rink in Decatur where it’s greater! The venue was a perfect fit for her style of music and bubbly personality. Every inch of the rink was decked out in pink and purple balloons and her brand.  There was a photo wall of metallic purple skates, a pink bar, custom pillows, and balloons everywhere.

She arrived to the skating rink with her entourage accompanied by Omeretta. The energy was infectious. Her smile and excitement completely lit up the room. She told the crowd this was her first EP after nearly giving up on music. Her vulnerability was admirable especially since so many others can relate to her story in various ways. After she went through each song on her EP, it was time to get on the floor and skate! The night morphed from an EP release to the nostalgic past time of a skating rink party. Fly Guy DC was the host, and made sure every single person, including media, had on a pair of skates. We all skated and partied well into the wee hours of the morning. After leaving the party, I immediately downloaded a few songs that I loved and could relate to. Her music is relatable to women which will carry her far and be able to stand out in such a saturated market. We all crave someone we can relate to and Big Boss Vette is the icing on the cake.
