BUZZING R&B PHENOMENON JxHINES RETURNS WITH ELECTRIFYING NEW SINGLE & VIDEO “BODY LIKE SZA”
Florida-born and Charlotte, NC-based singer, songwriter, and producer JxHines (pronounced “Jay-Hines”) serves up a brand new single and music video entitled “Body Like Sza” via My Music Box—the new label founded by GRAMMY® Award-winning icon Anthony Hamilton in partnership with BMG.
The track opens with an uplifting flute melody, shortly followed by airy 808s and energetic handclaps. JxHines delivers a series of punchy flows and lighthearted lyrics, amplified by his seismic vocals. He urges an unforgettable hook in, “She say she want a body like Sza.”
The music video offers a playful take on the dating show, The Flavor of Love, garnering praise from none other than Flavor Flav, himself. The Hip Hop legend says “I’m very proud to know that JxHines used my Flavor of Love theme for his video and I thank him for watching and loving my show.” Flavor Flav goes on to offer the following words of encouragement, “I know my man is gonna blow up bigger than life because he’s got my good and long time friend Anthony Hamilton behind him. Throughout the visual, directed by Terrance Crowley, a multitude of female contestants strive to become his dream girl. It goes down in a luxury mansion, while Anthony Hamilton makes a cameo. The combination of humor and action bring the song to life.
“Body Like Sza” also paves the way for JxHines’ forthcoming album, which is due to be released soon.
The new single comes on the heels of “1942.” Beyond picking up traction at streaming platforms, it earned plugs from Yours Truly and RapStarVidz.
