FAOUZIA RELEASES COVER OF STING & CHEB MAMI’S “DESERT ROSE”
Moroccan-born classically trained multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and vocalist, Faouzia, releases her cover of Sting & Cheb Mami’s “DESERT ROSE”. Faouzia notably performed the song last year on China’s hit singing competition show, Singer. Faouzia also took to Instagram to share the official tracklist for her debut album, FILM NOIR, releasing on November 7.
With FILM NOIR, Faouzia conjures a visual and cinematic world through her intricate and purposeful lyricism as well as her dramatic and melancholic melodies – with her unmistakable vocals taking center stage. The album features newly released singles “PEACE & VIOLENCE” and the critically-acclaimed “UNETHICAL,” which landed Faouzia on the cover of Spotify’s Pop All Day playlist, as well as Faouzia’s first independent single, “PORCELAIN.” FILM NOIR has already garnered over 25M global streams.
Faouzia first let fans in on the major news earlier this month during her sold-out event at Paris’ iconic Théâtre Les Étoiles. The intimate evening found Faouzia perform fan-favorites such as “Fur Elise,” “Tears Of Gold,” and “Minefields” as well as FILM NOIR standouts “PORCELAIN,” “UNETHICAL,” and “PEACE & VIOLENCE.”
