KEYLAND ANNOUNCES KNOCK OUT ALBUM KNUCKLE SANDWICH OUT MAY 29TH NEW SINGLE “PINBALL MACHINE RODEO QUEEN”

Tulsa-based songwriter Keyland announces the release of his brand new single “Pinball Machine Rodeo Queen” as well as his brand new album Knuckle Sandwich to be released May 29th via One Riot. 

On the new song Keyland said: “This song was heavily inspired by my favorite dive bar in the world, the Mercury Lounge in Tulsa, OK, and I also think we successfully got it to sound like it’s tripping over itself, which is just really fun and playful.”

“Pinball Machine Rodeo Queen” follows Keyland’s recent releases “Foolish Thing To Do” and “Crayon,” which are both set to appear on the upcoming record and captures the kind of character that defines Keyland’s writing. Driven by bouncing, kinetic drums that mirror the chaos of a pinball machine, the track leans fully into its playful energy while tracing the familiar spiral of wanting what you cannot hold onto.

The single sets the tone for Knuckle Sandwich, Keyland’s sharpest and most fully realized work to date. Recorded at the legendary Sonic Ranch, the remote, analog-leaning studio near the Texas–Mexico border, the album captures the messy, contradictory nature of love with equal parts humor and hard truth. Rooted in the storytelling tradition of Oklahoma and the broader Americana lineage it feeds, the record moves between swagger and self-awareness, landing somewhere between a smirk and a gut punch.

Across Knuckle Sandwich, Keyland builds a cast of characters who feel heightened but deeply familiar.
