MARIA BECERRA WINS HER FIRST MARTÍN FIERRO FOR “7 VIDAS” AND CELEBRATES A NEW MILESTONE IN HER CAREER
Maria Becerra received her first Martín Fierro Award in the category of Best Original Music for a Series thanks to “7 Vidas”, the main theme of En el Barro, the Underground and Netflix production in which she also made her acting debut playing Cleo.
The song was created specifically to accompany the emotional arc of Gladys, a character who is part of the QUIMERA universe—her most conceptual project to date. “7 Vidas is a very special song. We created it from the heart to honor Cleo’s story and bring her emotions to life. Receiving this recognition today fills me with pride,” Maria said.
The artist gave special thanks to Xross, producer and key collaborator in shaping the sound of the song and her new album, as well as the Underground and Netflix teams for trusting her with a role that brought together music and performance.
The award comes during a pivotal week: Maria is in the final rehearsals for her December 12 and 13 shows at River Plate, where she will present the full universe of QUIMERA live for the first time, performing before more than 85,000 people per night in a groundbreaking 360° production—unprecedented in the history of the stadium.
“This award comes at a time filled with hard work, emotion, and preparation. We are working so that the audience can experience something truly unique at River. Receiving this Martín Fierro in the middle of all that makes it even more special,” she added.
