Rising artist Sally Boy releases his anticipated EP, music 2 crash 2, out now via Loud Robot/RCA Records.
The five-track project features recent singles including “i love u”, “like that”, and “true american” featuring Kyle Lux, as well as the new release “where we met.” An upbeat and breezy body of work perfect for the summer season, running the gamut of genres including low-fi, indie, alt-pop and hip-hop, music 2 crash 2 is a culmination of Sally Boy’s influences and inspirations, infused with his signature twist of melodic choruses and playful lyricism.
“When an automobile abruptly stops, via collision with a fellow moving object or a stationary one, a strange phenomenon occurs; among the smoke and general disarray, sound persists…that of the radio. Organized noise persists in the mangled ruins of what once resembled a modern chariot,” says Sally Boy of the project. “THIS is music to crash to – songs you want to hear when all else fails, a soundtrack to the chaos. Begging that when it all comes to a screeching halt, treat it not as an accident, but as an unplanned meditation.”
