TINASHE UNVEILS NEW SINGLE “MELATONIN” – NEW ALBUM ‘POPSTAR’ OUT SEPTEMBER 25TH
Multi-platinum selling singer, songwriter, producer and DJ Tinashe, releases her new single “Melatonin”. Produced by Zack Sekoff, nightfeelings and Ricky Reed, the EDM-driven track blends intercutting beats with a hypnotic, pulsing energy. “Melatonin” is the latest single from Tinashe’s upcoming album, Popstar, coming September 25th.
The experimental sound of “Melatonin” is brought to life in the accompanying music video. Directed by 91 Rules (Kelela, Destroy Lonely), the visual is a celebration of dance, spotlighting dancers across a range of styles, including ballet, hip-hop, and ballroom. Throughout the video, Tinashe commands the screen in a series of striking, avant-garde looks that complement the track’s bold creative vision.
“Melatonin” is the latest track revealed on Tinashe’s highly anticipated Popstar album out September 25th, pre-order HERE. In celebration of the album, Tinashe recently announced three headlining shows this fall in Chicago, Brooklyn and Los Angeles. Pre-sale tickets sold out almost immediately, making it her fastest-selling pre-sale to date and general on-sale tickets also sold out shortly after. These shows will see Tinashe perform Popstar on stage for the first time.
These releases come off Tinashe’s back to back #1 charting hits with “No Broke Boys” with Disco Lines and “Nasty.” “No Broke Boys” with Disco Lines hit number 1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and remained for several weeks. The track was nominated at this year’s BRIT awards for “International Song of the Year,” at the 2026 American Music Awards for Social Song of the Year and won Dance Song of the Year at the 2026 iHeart Radio Music Awards. The song originally appeared on her album, Quantum Baby, which also featured her #1 hit single “Nasty.” “Nasty” propelled to new heights and upon release, was lauded as the song of summer by many in 2024.
