Los Angeles, CA — Irish artist Dermot Kennedy today releases two stirring recordings as part of Spotify’s Singles program. The tracks feature Dermot accompanied by a string orchestra and gospel choir, serving a rich sound that effortlessly blends in with the young artist’s cinematic sounds. Alongside his single “Glory,” Dermot also treats fans with a cover of Kanye West’s “Heartless” produced by Koz (Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj). The latter showcases Dermot’s pension for mixing hip hop with his own brand of electronic production that is fast becoming a signature for the rising star.
Crowds got a taste of Dermot Kennedy this past week as he played a number of festivals including Mo Pop Festival (Detroit), Lollapalooza (Chicago) and Osheaga Festival (Montreal). Racking up the praise with each festival, QRO Magazine said “… with his strong, powerful voice… he’s an artist you missed and wished you hadn’t.” Festival goers will have one last chance to catch Dermot this Friday at Outside Lands Festival before he heads to Europe to play a round of live shows.

American fans should get ready to catch the artist/performer when he returns to the States as part of his Keep The Evenings Long Tour which kicks off in Washington, D.C. in October at the already sold out Black Cat venue.
