ISABEL DUMAA RELEASES NEW SINGLE “JAMES DEAN”

Fresh off announcing Reverie — her forthcoming EP due on October 23rd — rising artist Isabel Dumaa shares a further taste of the new music with “James Dean”.

She shares, “For me, the essence of ‘James Dean’ lies in the line ‘I’m not who you want, that’s not who you are.’ The song is about facing the inevitable downfall of a relationship, because you have fallen for their potential, and in the end, they’re just not that into you.”

Dumaa will perform select shows this fall: New York’s Mercury Lounge (October 28th), Chicago’s Beat Kitchen (November 4th), and Los Angeles’ Masonic Lodge (November 11th). Tickets are on sale today at 10am local time HERE.

Reverie marks her first release since partnering with Lucille Records/Republic Records.

For her major label debut, Dumaa collaborated with producers Sammy Witte (Harry Styles), Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile), and Joshua Murty (Jonas Brothers), with instrumentation and arrangements from Rob Moose (Lana Del Rey, Bon Iver).

Two songs are also out now: “All American” and “You Don’t Know Me.”

The new music is just the latest in a series of milestones for Dumaa, who spent much of 2025 on the road opening for artists such as Sam Smith, Benson Boone and Teddy Swims. Dumaa also continues to build a passionate fanbase on social media with over 800k followers across platforms, following her standout singles “Quarter Life Crisis” and “C’est La Vie.”
