Jeezy Brings the Heat to Atlanta: A Sold-Out Night of Classic Hits at The Eastern

Rapper Jeezy wrapped up his Playlist Concert Series Tour in Atlanta, the city where he made his mark as a hip-hop icon. It was a foggy, rainy night, but fans were lined up outside the doors of The Eastern. “Sold Out” was written in bold letters on the box office window. There were solo concertgoers, as well as couples and groups of friends. The DJ remarked on how quickly The Eastern filled compared to previous shows held there.
There were no openers for Jeezy, and he made his entrance after the DJ played numerous southern rap classics to energize the crowd. Jeezy walked out to “Jeezy the Snowman.” High-pitched screams filled the venue as the crowd rapped bar for bar along with “The Snowman.” Jeezy’s wardrobe consisted of a black leather set with “Big Sno” labeled on the back of his vest. His iconic snowman graphic was on the front. He wore a black Atlanta New Era cap and a pair of snow-white Nike Air Force Ones, in true Atlanta fashion. Some fans in the crowd also wore the iconic “Snowman” shirts in tribute to the rapper.

The bass from the speakers was powerful, rumbling through the venue with every track. Jeezy acknowledged fans in the front row, saying, “Talk to me, baby; I talk back.” The ladies went wild. Fans were vibing to the music as Jeezy performed hit after hit. Members of the crowd danced with their drinks raised in the air, their phones recording moments that resonated with them. The love for Jeezy was evident as fans belted every word at the top of their lungs while he pointed the mic toward the crowd. Hearing tracks like “Trap or Die,” “Tear It Up,” “Way Too Gone,” “Get Allot,” and “All There” being performed live brought fans back to the very first time they heard them.
