SHAYA ZAMORA SHARES “OXYGEN”

Shaya Zamora, New Music, Entertainment News, Singer, Songwriter, Atlantic Records, Jeff Sojka

Rising singer-songwriter Shaya Zamora returns with his profoundly benevolent new single, Oxygen, available now via Atlantic Records.

I wrote ‘Oxygen’ during a cabin trip in Index, Washington with a few friends,” says Shaya Zamora, “where we spent days trading lyrics and pieces of ourselves through the songs we were creating. For me, this song came from the fear of losing myself, hurting the people I love, and realizing I needed others to hold on to me while I learned how to become better. Months later, a friend asked, ‘Is this song about your mom?’ and it made me realize the song could mean something completely different to each person who hears it. My hope is that everyone who listens finds their own story somewhere in this record.”

“Oxygen” marks the latest step in Zamora’s ongoing spiritual and artistic journey, following this spring’s reflective single “Evil Against Me,” produced by Jeff Sojka (NF, Machine Gun Kelly), available now HERE. He kicked off what is shaping up to be a landmark 2026 with the soul-searching “Only Time Will Tell,” produced alongside his trusted musical confidant, Mxwell, available HERE. Both tracks are accompanied by official lyric videos streaming on YouTube HERE.

Driven by raw emotion, intimate songcraft, and vibrant acoustic melodies, Shaya Zamora has swiftly become a global phenomenon. His personal evolution and evolving personal journey unfold across an ever-growing canon of deeply personal tracks, including “Stars,” “Chemicals,” “Numb,” “Dark Sea,” which have garnered over 10M combined Spotify streams and 2M monthly listeners.

Shaya Zamora has swiftly become a worldwide phenomenon with his raw emotion and vibrant acoustic melodies, built upon a singular strain of intimate songcraft and intensely spiritual storytelling. His personal evolution and continuing inner journey is recounted through a growing canon of emotionally charged songs, including “Stars,” “Chemicals,” “Numb,” “Dark Sea,” all of which have earned him 10M combined Spotify streams and 2M monthly listeners.

Raised in rural Washington, Shaya Zamora began writing songs at an early age, chronicling what he considers “just real down-to-earth things.” The gifted young artist quickly found a following, earning him millions of worldwide streams and an increasingly fervent fan base since his summer 2023 debut. Indeed, Zamora’s profile has continued to rise dramatically since the January 2024 release of his debut EP, Eulogize, which has garnered close to 50M total streams thanks in part to tracks like “Cigarette.”

Zamora ascended even higher with 2024’s breakthrough release of “Pretty Little Devil,” available HERE. Now with more than 90M global streams (including over 2.8M US streams in its first week alone), the track rose to #2 on iTunes’ Alternative Chart while also ranking among the upper reaches of Apple Music and Shazam’s US and Global charts. “Pretty Little Devil” further earned over 200K creates and more than 400M views on TikTok (where it was added to TikTok’s #NewMusic global discovery hub and earned Zamora influential status as an Emerging Artist) as well as over 100M views via IG Reels. An official lyric video currently boasting over 15M views is streaming now on YouTube HERE.

“Pretty Little Devil” was swiftly followed by Zamora’s profoundly moving official label debut single, “Sinner,” which was first unveiled alongside his signing to Atlantic Records in a Billboard exclusive and proved a viral sensation through a series of hugely popular social media teases, generating more than 60M views on TikTok thus far. “Sinner” is joined by an official lyric video now with over 4.5M views on YouTube HERE. Zamora kept up the momentum with the introspective “Never Knew,” which has amassed over 3.7M Spotify streams to date. Along with his growing body of solo work, recent months have also seen collaborations such as colby! x Shaya Zamora’s “Monster“ and Tommee Profitt x Sam Tinnesz x Shaya Zamora’s “Lament,” while a pair of fan favorites have garnered new audiences thanks to soundtrack appearances on Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia (“Cigarette”) and The Waterfront (“Sinner”). Now, with “Oxygen” – and more heartfelt new music to come – Shaya Zamora continues to soar towards even greater summits of popularity and artistic connection.
