BUSTA RHYMES RELEASES MUSIC VIDEO FOR “HOMAGE” FT. KODAK BLACK

Hip Hop legend and multi-platinum superstar Busta Rhymes continues the momentum of his latest album, BLOCKBUSTA, with the release of his new music video, “HOMAGE”, which features and co-stars multi-platinum GRAMMY nominee Kodak Black

HOMAGE” is directed by world-renowned video and film director Benny Boom and symbolizes Busta Rhymes’s unique, multigenerational appeal, and his position as one of Hip Hop’s true leaders. Fittingly, Busta and Kodak find themselves on sprawling and affluent grounds, openly musing of their respect for each other’s craft in the Benny Boom-directed clip, which emphasizes the peaceful transfer of musical and cultural influence as Hip Hop continues to grow and evolve.

Earlier this month, Busta Rhymes announced that he’d be touring with Missy Elliott, Ciara and Timbaland on Elliott’s “Out Of This World — The Missy Elliott Experience” Tour, a North American trek beginning July 4 in Vancouver, BC and closing August 22 in Rosemont, IL. Tickets are on sale now at livenation.com.

The timing of this moment for Busta Rhymes is apropos of Hip Hop’s general timeline. In 2023, Busta, a 12-time GRAMMY nominee and rap pioneer, was recognized for his storied contributions by BET with the network’s coveted Lifetime Achievement Award. In his acceptance speech, the NYC native offered sentiments similar to those that drive his new music video. “It’s just me trying to do my duty to continue to advance the culture and continue to contribute in a significant way,” Busta said. “I see so many people here that I have known and grown with for a long time. You’re watching me grow and I love y’all, and I know y’all love me.”

BLOCKBUSTABusta’s 11th studio album, is available now, and has also spawned music videos for the BIA-featured “BEACH BALL,” “LUXURY LIFE” featuring Coi Leray, “OK” with Cool & Dre featuring Young Thug, and “BIG EVERYTHING,” a collaboration with T-Pain and DaBaby
