LEGADO 7 RELEASES NEW CHRISTMAS TRACK “HOY VI A SANTA CLAUS BESAR A MAMÁ” FT. LEAD SINGER’S SON & MUSIC VIDEO
MULTIPLATINUM GROUP CLOCKS IN OVER 2.6 BILLION GLOBAL STREAMS TO DATE

Pioneers of Regional Mexican music and Southern California natives Legado 7 ring in the Christmas spirit with the release of their new song “Hoy vi a Santa Claus Besar a Mamá” and music video today via Sony Music / Lumbre Music. Celebrating the spirit of family, the track features the young son of lead singer Alex Guerra for a sweet collaboration rooted in the importance of Christmas. With father and son on vocals, the track juxtaposes their signature norteño sound with an upbeat and full of sheer beat heavily inspired by cumbias for a new holiday anthem honoring the love at the center of the holiday through Legado’s beloved sound. Directed by close collaborator SICCMADE, the video captures a tender moment between father and son sitting next to the chimney and having a time of pure love that will resonate strongly with the warmness of the season.
This new track closes out an exceptional year for the band after the release of their long anticipated album L7X, celebrating the band’s 10 year impact on Latin music. The project was lauded by Rolling Stone En Español, REMEZCLA, HOLA! and the esteemed Mexican newspaper El Universal who crowned them as “revolutionaries.” L7X houses a collection of larger-than-life norteño-inspired anthems that were born in the real trials and tribulations that the group faced while chasing their own dreams as part of a group of people that has long been dismissed in this country. An important issue that resonates deeply and feels essential to many Latinos and immigrants in the United States in the present day.
Bonafided trailblazers in Latin music, Legado 7 has opened doors for many of today’s biggest artists and all of whom have credited Legado for having shaped and inspired them including Peso Pluma, Fuerza Regida, Natanael Cano, Eslabon Armado, Herencia de Patrones, Grupo Marca Registrada and more. Through years of hard work, dedication and pushing up against social norms within music and outside, the group has impressively amassed over 2.6 billion global streams to date. Their influence has been pivotal in the development and explosion of Corridos Tumbados and other movements within the genre and onto the mainstream music arena. The duo has also gained prominence for their Corridos Verdes, a subgenre that incorporates cannabis themes, solidifying their unique identity in regional Mexican music.
The group established the groundbreaking label Lumbre Music who is responsible for cultivating some of the most culturally significant and commercially successful releases and artists in recent history including Yahritza y Su Esencia, Jimmy Guzman and Giovanni Vázquez, earning recognition for their ability to identify future stars of regional Mexican music.
