The Minnesota Vikings announce the team has claimed center Cohl Cabral via waivers
Cabral (6-5, 300), pronounced cuh-BRAWL, joins the Vikings in 2021 after spending the offseason with Houston. The Rancho Cucamonga, California, native signed a reserve/futures contract with the Texans on January 1, 2021. Following the 2020 NFL Draft, Cabral was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Rams on May 4, 2020. Cabral spent time on the Rams practice squad during the 2020 season until his release on November 11. The Arizona State product started 39 consecutive games from the beginning of his sophomore season to his senior campaign. The former Sun Devil was part of an offensive line that assisted running back Eno Benjamin’s second-consecutive 1,000 yard season, the first time an ASU running back had accomplished the feat since the 1970s.
