Paradise Rock Club hosted an incredible night of metalcore Wednesday in Boston as Northlane, Invent Animate, Thornhill and Windwaker performed dynamic sets leaving the crowd begging for more.

Starting off the night on their first US tour, all the way from Melbourne, Australia, Windwaker opened the night with “Get Out” off of their new album HYPERVIOLENCE which comes out Friday, July 12th. Vocalist Liam Guginane set the tone as he grooved across stage switching right into a two-step which instantly got the pit started. Windwaker ended their set with their most streamed song “SIRENS ” also off of their new album which had the crowd amped for the bands to come.

Next up, back in the US after supporting Silent Planet back in February, Melbourne’s own Thornhill brought the heat opening with “Views From The Sun” off of their 2019 album, The Dark Pool. Thornhill played their newest single “Obsession” which came out last month halfway through the set. “Obsession” which is based on a narcissistic inner monologue helped erupt the pit with rage and emotion.

Invent Animate, the only US band on the tour came in third on the bill, opening with “Sleepless Deathbed” from their album Heavener (Definitive) which released back in May of this year. The crowd instantly became entranced by vocalist Marcus Vik as crowd surfers started coming from all angles and Paradise Rock Club staff handled some unneeded ruckus beautifully and the night went on flawlessly.

After thinking the energy couldn’t get even higher, the Boston crowd erupted as soon as Northlane took the stage. Leading off with “Carbonized” from their 2022 album Obsidian, Northlane brought the tired pit goers back to life. Instantly transitioning to Intuition off of their 2017 album Mesmer, the crowd was feeling the nostalgia as the band transitioned from songs new to old. Northlane ended the night with an encore of “Citizen” also off of Mesmer, leaving the crowd in Metalcore Paradise at Paradise Rock Club.
