Jonah Williams (6-5, 275) was claimed by the Vikings after being waived by the Los Angeles Rams, where he was active in all eight games during the 2021 season. Williams tallied five total tackles and saw an increased playing time in the last three weeks, seeing 50 snaps on defense. Williams signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Weber State and spent the entire 2020 season on the team’s practice squad. The Meridian, Idaho, native finished his college career earning All-America honors and was named the Big Sky Defensive MVP. He was the fifth player in Weber State history to win the award. In 54 career games, Williams had 15 sacks, 28.0 tackles for loss and 194 total tackles. In his final year at Weber State in 2019, Williams posted a careerbest 11.0 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks and helped the Wildcats win a third-straight Big Sky title and advance to the FCS Semifinals.
