DUCKWRTH Turns the Echoplex in Los Angeles Into a Full-Body Experience

Last night at the Echoplex, DUCKWRTH delivered a show that felt like a full experience, not just a concert. The night opened with King Isis, who immediately set the tone with a funny and bold rock cover of Sexyy Red’s “Pound Town.” It caught the crowd off guard in the best way and brought a ton of energy into the room early on. It was one of those openers that made you feel like you were already at the main event, and it kept people locked in from the jump.
From there, the vibe only got bigger. Every performer that touched the stage kept the energy up, making it feel like a nonstop wave of music, laughter, and movement. DUCKWRTH himself came out strong, styled to perfection with standout makeup and an outfit that matched the boldness of his sound. The live band behind him added a whole other layer to the performance. They weren’t just background noise either, they gave everything this raw, textured feeling that made each song hit even harder.
One of the most powerful parts of the night came when DUCKWRTH paused everything to open up about his relationship with his father and his experiences in therapy. It was a real personal moment that gave the whole night even more meaning. In a packed venue like the Echoplex, he still managed to make it feel like he was talking one on one with the crowd. You could feel everybody leaning in, taking it in, and appreciating how honest he was willing to get.
Even after what felt like a full show, the crowd wasn’t ready to let go. They chanted and cheered for an encore, and DUCKWRTH didn’t make them wait long. He came right back out and gave them exactly what they were asking for, ending the night on an even higher note. Overall, it was a night full of heart, humor, insane energy, and the kind of realness you don’t always get at shows. DUCKWRTH reminded everybody why live music still hits differently.
